Celebrating Our Graduating Stars

Join us in congratulating Guadalupe (Lupita) Marcial and Axel Garcia, two exceptional graduating students from OCCTAC!

Congratulations to Guadalupe (Lupita) Marcial, a talented graduate from Santa Ana High School! Lupita's musical prowess has been showcased as a first violinist and concertmaster in the Chamber Orchestra and Mariachi Ensemble at her school. She has also been an esteemed member of the Community Youth Orchestra of Southern California's Symphony Orchestra since 2016. With an impressive 3.9 GPA, Lupita's commitment to excellence extends beyond music. Since joining OCCTAC at the age of 6, Lupita has thrived in our CM program, earning State honors awards for multiple years. Notably, she was honored as one of the recipients of the Justin Salgado scholarship fund, a testament to her dedication and talent. As Lupita embarks on her new chapter at Cal State Fullerton, we send her our best wishes.

Meet Axel, a talented graduate from Legacy College Preparatory School in Santa Ana. Axel made significant contributions to our community as he showcased his writing skills by becoming our first student writer for the newsletter. Additionally, he demonstrated his passion for music composition by participating in state-wide evaluations for Composers Today. Despite pursuing an English degree at the University of Southern California, Axel plans to continue his musical journey and minor in music. He has been taking piano lessons at OCCTAC since the age of 8 and has graced our recitals, including the memorable Bloom 23. Axel's dedication and hard work have opened doors for him, leading to his acceptance into USC. We congratulate Axel on his high school graduation and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
