OCCTAC Launches Its First K-Pop Musical Theater Summer Camp

SANTA ANA, CA, July 2026 — Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center (OCCTAC) celebrated a summer milestone with the launch of its first-ever K-Pop Musical Theater Summer Camp, bringing together young performers for a week of singing, dancing, acting, and creative collaboration.
Led by musical theater educator Paige Taylor and a team of dedicated instructors, the camp welcomed a record 24 students, the largest enrollment for a single camp in OCCTAC’s history. Campers included OCCTAC students, Regional Center participants, and children from the surrounding community, creating an inclusive environment where every student could participate and grow.
Throughout the week, campers learned songs, choreography, and stage performance skills while also helping create sets, props, and other production elements. Their work culminated in Friday Showcase performances on OCCTAC’s outdoor patio stage, where families and friends gathered to celebrate their accomplishments.
Generous community support helped make the camp accessible to more families by subsidizing tuition and camp expenses. Each camper also received three camp T-shirts through donor support.
OCCTAC extends its heartfelt thanks to our generous Summer Camp Sponsors: Regional Center of Orange County, Floral Park Neighborhood Association, Santa Ana Elks Lodge, and The Hills Angels. Their support helped make this inaugural program possible and provided students with the opportunity to learn, create, and perform in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Following the success of the inaugural program, OCCTAC’s Preparatory Arts Department plans to continue the momentum this fall with a weekly Musical Theater class on Saturdays from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., giving students opportunities to develop their performance skills and participate in more in-depth productions.
