The Orange County Children’s Therapeutic Arts Center (OCCTAC) proudly recognizes Elaine Weinstein as a Building Community Sponsor for its 25th Anniversary Celebration. A lifelong advocate for creativity and the arts, Elaine brings a rich personal history of artistic expression and family creativity to her support of OCCTAC’s mission.

Art has always played a central role in Elaine’s life. After high school, she attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, later earning a master’s degree in architecture and environmental design. Beyond her studies, she explored pastel and watercolor art, sewing, knitting, and crochet. Creativity also runs through her family: her son is both a musician and artist, her older daughter is a writer and illustrator, and her younger daughter works at an art gallery. Elaine’s late husband, a professional in broadcasting, contributed his gift for communication, further enriching the family’s creative spirit.

Elaine was introduced to OCCTAC through her daughter Beth, a former special education teacher and local elected official, who met Dr. Ana Jimenez-Hami shortly after OCCTAC’s founding in 2000. Inspired by the organization’s mission, Elaine has been a dedicated supporter.
“Art was a gateway for many of the things I have done in my life. Helping young people with disabilities and other challenges tap into their own talents and creative abilities is an inspired mission,” Elaine shares.
Born at the height of the Great Depression, Elaine reflects on her life with gratitude and purpose.
“I’m grateful that I can help young people explore their creative talents and support their growth and development through the work OCCTAC does. I encourage others to invest in this organization, which is truly a lifeline for the children and families they help. Congratulations on 25 years—I wish you nothing but success for many years to come.”

As OCCTAC celebrates this milestone anniversary, the organization honors Elaine Weinstein for her generosity, vision, and belief in the transformative power of the arts. Her support exemplifies the community spirit that has fueled OCCTAC’s mission for 25 years.
