OCCTAC Featured on CBS LA for Empowering Neurodiverse Youth

Updated: Apr 28

Santa Ana, CA — April 24, 2026 — The Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center (OCCTAC) is proud to be featured on CBS Los Angeles for its impactful program supporting neurodiverse youth across Orange County.

The CBS story, “Orange County music program gives neurodiverse students a musical and emotional platform,” highlights OCCTAC’s Magnet Ensemble, a group of talented students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurological differences who use music as a platform for growth, confidence, and self-expression.

Featured in the story is Roberto Reyes, a longtime OCCTAC student who began music lessons at age one and discovered his passion through piano and composition.

“Many times there is a stigma when they have a disability, but if you give them a platform and hear their voice through their talent, it’s powerful,” said Phoebe Stanciell, OCCTAC Music Coordinator and founder of the Magnet Ensemble.

Founded in 2000 by Dr. Ana Jimenez-Hami, OCCTAC is committed to inclusivity, providing access to services for families facing physical, cognitive, language, social, and emotional challenges.
