Updated: Jan 25

Santa Ana, CA – 02/01/2023 – Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center's (OCCTAC) PREP Arts Academy is thrilled to announce its annual production, BLOOM 24, scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the First Presbyterian Church of Santa Ana, located at 600 N Main St, Santa Ana, CA 92701. This inspiring event is proudly sponsored in part by the City of Santa Ana.

BLOOM 24 is a culmination of OCCTAC's commitment to showcasing the remarkable accomplishments of its students in the areas of Visual and Performing Arts. The program, designed to embrace the multicultural fabric of the Santa Ana community, will feature captivating solo and ensemble presentations from around the world. Additionally, the Visual Arts Exhibit will display artwork created by students, emphasizing the richness of cultural diversity.

The community benefits of this event are profound. OCCTAC, deeply rooted in the Santa Ana community, aims to celebrate and empower its residents by providing a platform for showcasing their artistic accomplishments and cultural connections. BLOOM 24 stands as a testament to the vibrant diversity within the community, fostering unity through the creative expression of its talented individuals.

Moreover, BLOOM reinforces OCCTAC's commitment to education by enlightening families about the intrinsic value and benefits of arts education. The event supports academic and social-emotional development, contributing to the overall well-being of the community.

Thanks to the generous support from the Arts and Culture Office in the City of Santa Ana, BLOOM 24 will be accessible to everyone as it is offered free of charge. In the past, entry tickets were required to offset financial impacts on our agency, but with this grant, OCCTAC is excited to eliminate entry fees and welcome the entire community to enjoy this cultural extravaganza.

"We are grateful for the City of Santa Ana's support, which enables us to make BLOOM 24 a free event, opening the doors to art, culture, and community spirit," says Phoebe Stanciell, Music Program Coordinator at OCCTAC. "This sponsorship not only enhances the accessibility of the event but also reinforces our mission to make the arts an integral part of every individual's life."
