Updated: 3 days ago

Santa Ana, CA — Orange County Children’s Therapeutic Arts Center (OCCTAC) is proud to announce that it has been recognized as the 2026 Spotlight Award Winner for Service Provider by the Regional Center of Orange County (RCOC).

Since 1997, RCOC has hosted the Spotlight Awards, an annual event celebrating individuals and organizations who demonstrate exceptional dedication, compassion, and selfless service in supporting people with developmental disabilities. These awards honor those who create meaningful change and serve as inspiring role models within the community.

OCCTAC was selected for its longstanding commitment to providing innovative arts, education, and therapy programs that empower children, youth, and families of all abilities. Through music therapy, visual arts, dance, education services, and family-centered support programs, OCCTAC continues to create inclusive spaces where neurodiverse individuals can thrive, express themselves, and reach their full potential.

“This recognition reflects the heart of our mission and the incredible work of our staff, therapists, educators, and families who make our programs possible every day,” said Dr. Ana Jimenez-Hami, Founder and CEO of OCCTAC. “We are deeply honored to be recognized by the Regional Center of Orange County and remain committed to serving our community with compassion, creativity, and purpose.”

Founded in 2000, OCCTAC serves over 6,000 children, 500 youth, and 200 adults annually through its diverse educational, therapeutic, and support programs. Its mission is to provide innovative arts, education, and therapy programs to low-income and special needs families that unlock potential, nurture creativity, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Receiving the 2026 Spotlight Award for Service Provider highlights OCCTAC’s ongoing efforts to make transformative services accessible to families throughout Orange County and reinforces its vision of a world where all families have equitable access to exceptional arts, educational, and therapeutic programs.
