#GivingTuesday is a global giving movement that has been built by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities in countries around the world. Millions of people have come together to support and champion the causes they believe in and the communities in which they live.

#GivingTuesday isn’t just about fundraising, it’s about communities banding together and giving of their time, power, skills, expertise and resources. It's about the collective spirit of generosity that brings change to our communities.

Orange County Children’s Therapeutic Arts Center (OCCTAC) is Joining the global Giving Tuesday Movement to Raise Funds to Transform the Lives of Local At-Risk Children, Youth and Families

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving back. On the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Dec. 3, people around the world will come together to celebrate generosity and make an impact. This Giving Tuesday, Orange County Children’s Therapeutic Arts Center (OCCTAC) will celebrate giving by hosting a live fundraiser for the center’s arts education and community services programs.

Giving Tuesday, taking place December 3rd, is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Every year on Giving Tuesday, millions of people across the globe (almost 60 countries) mobilize to show up, give back, and change their communities. The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day and touches every person on the planet.

OCCTAC joined the Giving Tuesday movement in 2018, raising over $9,000 in a day for its programs that provide arts education and vital community services in Orange County. This year, OCCTAC has a goal of raising $20,000 to help provide OCCTAC students and families with the arts education and services they deserve. OCCTAC students will be performing live at the center on December 3 alongside families, staff and partners who will assist with answering phones and providing fundraising updates.

“OCCTAC is excited to participate in a day that focuses on generosity. All of the money raised during this Giving Tuesday ‘19 campaign will go directly toward providing artistic programs and community services that empower and transform vulnerable children, youth and families in our community”, said Dr. Ana Jimenez-Hami, Executive Director and founder of OCCTAC.

Every act of generosity counts, and each means even more when we give together. Everyone has something to give. You can give time or expertise, monetary donations large or small, simple acts of kindness, food or clothing.

All contributions are tax deductible as permitted by law.
