OCCTAC Provides youth ages 14 to 24 with tools needed to successfully transition into the workforce, further their education, and reach their true work potential by providing them with academic counseling, case management, tutoring and PAID Work Training.

  • Work Experience Placements

    INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT & TUTOR
    • Assist Learning Academy, Early Start & Afterschool Arts
    • Work with children of different backgrounds and abilities
    • Provide academic enrichment activities to elementary students

    ADMNISTRATIVE ASSISTANT & RECEPTIONIST
    • Greet customers, screen calls & take messages as needed
    • Basic clerical duties such as filing, emails & data entry

    GRAPHIC ARTS INTERN
    • Create program brochures and event flyers
    • Update and/or create program websites using social networks
    • Assist with special projects in the community

    SOUND ENGINEER INTERN
    • Proper setting of stage for live performance
    • Monitor techniques, feedback control & amplification of music
    • “Read” music board & adjust it to fit the needs of musician

    SALES ASSOCIATE
    • Reviewing, organizing and unpacking merchant
    • Providing Customers with assistance in finding needed merchandise
    • Conducting cash and credit transactions while providing customers with information on store and upcoming sales.

  • Entry Level Training Courses

    GRAPHIC ARTS
    • Students will receive training for careers in field
    • Instruction of Photoshop, Illustrator & Indesign

    AUDIO ENGINEERING FOR STAGE AND STUDIO
    • Gain Knowledge of audio engineering techniques
    • Hands-on practice of vintage & state-of-the-art audio equipment

  • State-recognized Training Programs

    OFFICE CLERK STATE CERTIFICATE
     Skills in research, report and correspondence preparation

    • Advances computer software knowledge
    • Gain customer service and telephone techniques,
    • Open entry/Open exit  (Call for schedule information)

    CHILDCARE WORKER CERTIFICATE
     Knowledge about the care & development of children

    • Sample topics: body development, socialization, group care
    • Open entry/Open Exit (call for more information!)

  • Summer Camps

    OCCTAC is now offering M.A. D. T . ( – Music -Art – Dance – Technology) Summer Camps in the month of July ONLY !
    These camps will keep students asking for more! Each camp is designed to empower, challenge, educate and entertain. Most camps run M-F from 1:00-4:00P for ages 7 to 14. Kids have a choice for the week for camps such as Cooking Camps ( Jr. Baker) to Ballroom Dancing ( Jr. Dancing w/ the Stars) , Computer Nerds
    (Programming Class for Kids) or Bach to the Future ( Piano Camp) just to name a few! At the end of each week, each camp has its own showcase to show off their amazing talents!
