Summary of OCCTAC Programs

After-school ARTS Programs - Music - Art - Dance - Theatre (PDF)
The OCCTAC After school ARTS program provides artistic training in the fields of Music, Visual Arts, Dance, Musical Theatre, and Technology to at-risk youth, and children with special needs in the community. The program runs Monday through Friday from 3:30 until 8:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It includes a wide variety of classes, such as: piano, guitar, singing, violin, hip-hop, ballet, painting, drawing, graphic arts, and much more!
Therapeutic Arts Program (PDF) (Fall Schedule PDF)
Our Center offers music therapy, art therapy and expressive arts therapy to children and youth of all ages and disabilities in Orange County to enhance their psychological, socio-emotional, communication/linguistic, and cognitive development. Students with special needs are referred by the Regional Center, school districts, County of Orange and other partnering agencies in the community.
Early Start Program (Program Structure PDF)
The Early Start program is a partnership with the Santa Ana College, and serves very young children (6 months to 2 1/2 years of age) with and without disabilities. This full-inclusion early intervention program aims at educating parents and their young children in a natural community environment that enhances students’ cognitive, language, motor and social development. This program runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Parent & Child Preschool Program (Program Structure PDF)
The OCCTAC Preschool Program is a partnership with the Santa Ana College, and serves young children ages 3, 4 and 5. The program educates parents and their young children with and without disabilities by providing school readiness activities, art, music and parenting classes. The program runs Monday through Friday from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. This program educates parents and focuses on getting children ready for school by engaging our families in school readiness activities, family literacy, second language development, and the arts in a fun and creative environment!
Homework Support & Tutoring Program (Power Point Presentation)
This program provides tutoring and homework support to children and youth through individual or small group instruction. The learning academies are held in our main facility, as well as various community centers.
Youth Job Training Program (PDF)
This program provides Transitional Age Youth (17 – 21 yrs.) provides Transitional Age Youth (17- 21 yrs.) educational skills, job training, work experience and career counseling in the field of Arts, Education & Technology, mentoring, leadership opportunities and other support services;
Other Community Support Programs (PDF)
A variety of Parenting Classes, Support Groups for teens and parents, and Family Counseling are provided to our community by licensed therapists and social workers at our Center on a weekly basis.
